ABOUT US The Physio/Nutritionist

Welcome. A number of years back, I put the wheels in motion to develop a physiotherapy practice. I always wanted to shape the practice to the exact mold that I feel works best for the patient. I feel it is crucial for the patient to understand their symptoms from day one. This will enhance recovery from symptoms and compliancy to corrective exercises. The exercises should be performed on-site and under guidance in the initial stages. This combination ensures the patient is ready to self-manage effectively, thus requiring fewer one-to-one physio sessions.

John hails from Waterford, initially worked in Scotland and now living in Cork! John qualified as a Physiotherapist after completing a Masters at Leeds Beckett University in January 2009. Combining this with a BSc in Nutritional Science, he headed straight for Scotland to start his career with the NHS and by doing so experienced a wide variety of different areas in Physiotherapy. John focused on the musculoskeletal side of things from 2011 onwards and has attended many additional courses on back pain, shoulder, hip and knee rehab, chronic pain treatment and tendinopathy management down through the years. He moved into private practice for the last two years living in Edinburgh. On returning to Ireland in early 2016, John got straight into building links with GPs in the Togher area of Cork, worked with Sundays Well rugby team and the Irish Masters Hockey team and also cycling clubs around Munster to promote his cycling rehab and physio-led bike fitting service.
