Highly recommended. I did the comprehensive bike fit with John 6 months ago. Since then I've gone from struggling through 150km a week to cruising 250km+ continuous spins. Had my bike fit last week, I really did notice the difference during ring of beara. No leg pain afterwards, a drastic reduction in neck ache and felt very comfortable all day. I even set a new pb. I always say, a bike is like a pair of trousers...if they dont fit you, you look like a tool. Well, having been cycling for over 10 years, and confident in my ability to fit myself to a bike I didn't I would get much benefit from a professional bike fit, but how wrong I was. I went to John's clinic is Cork, and aside of the bike fit, the initial screening and body assessment was also very valuable to identify any weakness in muscles or flexibility. John also pumps out some upbeat tunes and light refreshments to keep clients relaxed and enjoying the experience. Onto the bike fit itself, well, there was advice a plenty from pedal stroke efficiency to multiple changes to my cleat position, saddle height. Initially it felt strange put John's scientific methodology with sensors, angles and pressure points all measured and remeasured until the figures improved and I was sweating from the workload. Decided on getting a bike fit with John recently after numerous recommendations. Having just bought a tt bike upgrading from an entry level road bike, I was a bit disappointed after my first few spins on the bike didn't give me the results I was expecting. I was having bad upper back pain after a longer ride. The bike fit was very comprehensive lasting 2 hours.John went through a full physical assessment and gave me plenty of strength and flexibility exercises to do going forward. Because of the pain i had i was worried the bike was too small but the bike was adjusted at cleats saddle and front end to make it far more comfortable and aero too. You could see the improvement on a before and after video. I received a detailed report a few days after the fit. A few days later I had a 9 minute improvement on the 23k bike split of the Clonakilty duathlon.
